In case you missed the Mastermind email update from a couple of days ago, I’ve republished it here:
Hi! 🙂
The Mastermind re-opens on December 1.
(that’s your friendly reminder, and now onto something REALLY important, lol)
My Big Idea
Life’s great challenge is to do what you know is right. And to start as soon as possible.
I am obsessed with this one idea:
Success comes when we have the courage to do what we know is right.
And most of us know what is right.
Not just money.
But finding the right thing, and then doing it.
Today I want to confess something to you.
And tell you a story.
Warning: This is a longer than usual story. 🙂
Here’s the story:
For the last 10 years, I have been fighting the Internal Revenue Service over some taxes that I didn’t want to pay.
I had my reasons. (I think they were good reasons, too, haha).
But last night, I had a fever of 103.
And in my delirious, feverish thinking, I had this moment of clarity:
I am preparing to teach 100 traders how to clean the slate, remove all the obstacles, be totally honest with themselves, and do the impossible.
And I realized:
I cannot do this if I am still fighting this stupid battle. I need to clear every obstacle from my path.
So today, I woke up and sent the money to the IRS.
$38,526.86.
And then here’s what happened:
My fever broke.
My mind was clear.
And I was happier. Instantly.
I gave up on a pointless battle that I might have won, if I gave it ten more years.
The lesson:
The challenge in life is to have the courage to do what is right, and to do it as soon as possible.
It is better to do the right thing, and do it now, than it is to waste time doing anything else. Even if you do the right thing badly – you are setting in motion a series of good things to come your way.
But That’s Not the End of the Story
There’s more.
Once I did the right thing, I had two more big thoughts about success.
But this email is already long enough.
I’ll return soon – in a day or two – with more.
Have the best day ever
– Rob
