The angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay. Then go quickly and tell his disciples: ‘He has risen from the dead and is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see him.
He has risen!
It’s Easter morning!
And even though most of us can’t gather together and celebrate the way we normally would…
Even though the world seems crazy and disjointed right now…
Even though it feels like we’re stuck permanently in neutral…
Today, none of that matters! Because today we celebrate that the savior of the world has risen from the grave. He took upon himself the sins of the world and is now reigning over us.
That’s good news because right now, it feels like the world needs a savior!
So I hope you have a blessed, incredible, beautiful Easter Sunday. Whether you’re spending it with your family, whether you’re watching church online, or even if you’re stuck at home alone right now (I know how tough that must be!) know that you’ve got a God you who loves you, who cares about you, and most importantly, who has saved you!
I love the heck out of all of you, and I truly, truly hope you have a wonderful day. Today is the day we celebrate! He has risen!
